Good to read about a club hopefully moving in the right direction. Just by following your blogs and podcasts seems the club is listening to the likes of yourself and putting things in place to hopefully continue to improve on and off the pitch. Interesting read again Trevor
As usual Trevor a very well written piece! We definitely seem to be on the up in spite of yesterday! Personally I don't think that we will make the Play-Offs this season but you never know! However it's a huge improvement & there are,IMO,around 15 players that I would keep going forward. Normally we want to get rid of over half the team! I would be interested to know who are on one year contracts? Do you have this information?
Thanks Ian. I think we've put ourselves in a very good position, we're ahead of where I thought we would be, it's up to the other clubs to put themselves about a bit and catch us.
15 is about right, this year's squad number is 23 bodies, 3 keepers and 20 outfield players, think you're about right in 15 staying.
I have some ideas on who have one year deals, but as the club nor many others announce the length these days it's hard to know, certainly will be some expiring in the summer, especially those who signed two year deals under HK.
Having done some research this morning I can't find anyone who has a contract past 30/06/2023! Some of the squad have no contract details at all though! Of course those players whose contracts expire on 30/06/2023 may have one year options? There are 9 of them.
I would expect those 9 to have an option on them, I would expect Marvin Armstrong to be on something like an 18 month given when he was signed.
It's one thing I don't get all the secrecy about when the length of the player's contract, it's not as if they're releasing the size of his wage packet and other clubs can easily find out, seems daft really, but hey, the modern game!
Hi Trevor Many thanks for this.As you say it's just mad! No doubt all will be revealed in the next couple of months now that Deano has sorted out his contract!
Nothing much to add which will not just repeat what you have written Trevor. Just like to add my thanks to TK, correct he has made many mistakes in his time which one of us dose not, problem is the more in the public eye you are the more they are noticed the perks for being the Chairman of any Football Club. Bumps in the road ahead yes but they will get smaller, but remember if we won every game a great deal of the fun would be gone, yes really. Sorry that went on longer than I intended.
It's fine mate, the comment box is there for big or small replies!
As you say win every week it's not challenge and when you do come up against those challenges, people can't understand why it's not three points every week.

Thanks Mike, hopefully it keeps moving in the right direction.

Best news for a long time - thank you TK.
Thanks too, Trevor for keeping the hope alive !!
Always hope we've just had to cling onto it a bit longer than most and wait for the green shoots of recovery.
